Dear broken heart,

I'm sorry I gave you away so many times for you to get hurt.

I'm sorry I ignored my head and kept putting you first.

I'm sorry I've probably tarnished you for life.

And I'm sorry that it’s always you who pays the price.

I'm sorry I don't learn from my mistakes.

I'm sorry that my actions bring you heartache.

I'm sorry that they were never “the one”.

And I'm sorry that I'm never happy on my own.

I'm sorry that I am the cause for this pain.

And I'm sorry that I will do it again.

But most of all, I'm sorry that you are stuck with me for the rest of my life.

I fear we will never meet true love and so I'm sorry that forever in two pieces you will remain.
